Story of a Butterfly

“Passion is the fruit of inner turmoil, a stark necessity that drives you to stand out and make a statement, or better yet become one.”

Growing up in a part of the world where everyone’s professional array of options is conventionally limited to engineering or medicine, I wanted to find a way to find a path that would best let me express my inner creativity and satiate my desire for artistic expression. Compelled by contemporary circumstances of real-world employment, I enrolled in a mainstream engineering degree. While going through the mundane routine of classes and submissions, it struck me one day:

“ Not everyone’s made to do the same thing.”

After many months of struggling, trying to find a solution, an outlet, a canvas; Epiphany struck. Over the next few months, I found myself practicing cooking a wide variety of dishes each and every day, like a samurai sharpening his sword. Before I knew it, word spread of a talented young chef in the neighborhood, and I got my first orders! The sheer joy and elation that one gets from seeing people truly relish their cooking is, in one word, priceless. And like a butterfly, breaking through the cocoon to achieve beauty, the idea for Ferme la Bouche was born.

A healthy wholesome meal is an essential part of our lives. Our philosophy aims to stray away from the Neo-corporate franchise structure that is slowly overtaking the food industry. Affordable dining shouldn’t come packaged with compromised and adulterated ingredients. Delivery experiences shouldn’t turn into ugly hour long phone calls that ends with hounding for tips. We aim to go above and beyond the norm, providing a heart-warming interaction, versus a standard business agreement.
